New Orleans Saints outside linebacker Will Smith's 2013 season is officially over before it even began. The Saints placed the 10-year veteran on injured reserve the team announced Tuesday. Receiver Joe Morgan who tore his anterior cruciate ligament in training camp also was placed on injured reserve. Smith injured his knee against the Houston Texans on Sunday on a play where teammate Cam Jordan sacked Matt Schaub. Smith was caught in the collision and limped off the field before heading to the locker room to be checked by trainers. The Saints traded for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Parys Haralson on Monday night to add depth to an increasingly thin position. Linebacker Victor Butler was also placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list Tuesday and might be out for the season while Martez Wilson and Junior Galette also have been sidelined temporarily with injuries.
