The Buffalo Sabres began training camp without one of the franchise’s prospects. Alexander Nylander is dealing with what the team describes as a lower-body injury and the eighth-overall pick from the 2016 NHL Draft is considered week-to-week, Sabres head coach Phil Housley told reporters in Buffalo Friday. The 19-year-old winger was held out of the Prospects Challenge for precautionary reasons a week ago but Sabres general manager Jason Botterill said at the time he was hopeful the talented Swede would be ready for the start of camp.
