Ryan Howard will almost definitely make his season debut tonight, Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. announced after the game Thursday. Howard, who tore his Achilles tendon last October, will be at Citizens Bank Park this afternoon. He'll get one final check-up and if that goes well, Amaro said he'll be in the starting lineup tonight against the Braves. Howard has spent the past week on a minor-league rehab assignment with both Single-A Lakewood and Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He went 2-for-3 Thursday with a walk and RBI. In seven games between the two affiliates, Howard hit .500 (10-for-20) with a home run and 10 RBIs.
