You just knew the Football Gods would intervene, right? Somehow, someway, Buccaneers backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick would be in the starting lineup for their Week 10 battle with the Jets. And guess what? It's happening. Maybe. Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay's starter, injured his shoulder at some point in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Saints. It's unclear exactly when the injury happened, but Fitzpatrick replaced him to start the second half. Winston originally injured his shoulder (AC joint sprain) back in Week 6, but hasn't missed any time. Speaking to reporters after the loss to the Saints, Winston said he'd been dealing with the same soreness for weeks, and that team doctors chose to pull him from the game. Tampa Bay coach Dirk Koetter said Winston will get an X-ray on his shoulder to see if this is the same AC joint sprain, or a new injury. If Winston can't go ... Fitzpatrick will start.
