The Arizona Cardinals released veteran linebacker Ramik Wilson on Tuesday just before a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter said they would fill the open roster spot with veteran running back Alfred Morris.

98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s own John Gambadoro confirmed the one-year signing of the running back.

Starting running back David Johnson (ankle) and third-stringer D.J. Foster (hamstring) remain day-to-day, and the addition of Morris signals Arizona’s lack of confidence that of one of them would be healthy enough to play in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints.
