Christmas just came a couple weeks ago. But next month, it may very well come again for fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Justin Fields, who recently confirmed he was transferring to OSU from the University of Georgia, is one of the most talented young quarterbacks in college football. And while transfer players are required to sit out a year before regaining eligibility, he's filed a waiver to the NCAA in hopes of getting the chance to play right away and win the starting QB job in 2019. According to his attorney, Tom Mars, a ruling on the waiver submission is expected in February.
