Josh Dubow of the Associated Press reports that Ronnie Lott’s investment group, Fortress, has recently submitted a formal plan to the NFL for the first time to build a stadium for the Raiders in Oakland. According to the Dubow’s sources, Fortress’ plan is “fundamentally” the same as the one previously made public in December. However, they have clarified some questions that were raised by the NFL. Back in December, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league has “not made great progress” with Oakland and there was no deal on the table that addressed long-term issues regarding the club and communities involved. Dubow adds that the NFL and Lott group have been in contact since their December meeting to answer any questions they had.
