Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus from La Liga giants Real Madrid back in the summer, with the forward opting to pursue a new challenge in Serie A.

Earlier in the season, the Portugal international sent a warning to Lionel Messi, saying he should leave his comfort zone at Barcelona.

“I have played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, with the national team, while he has stayed in Spain,” he said.

“Maybe, he needs me more. For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make it happy.

“I would like him to come to Italy one day. Do what I did, accept the challenge. However, if he is happy there, I respect that.”

Ibrahimovic then criticised him for his comments, saying: "Ronaldo talks about challenges but he decided to go to a club who have been winning the Serie A title with their eyes closed.

"Why did he not choose a club from a second division a few years ago? Try to become a champion with such a second-division [club] and lead them to the highest level.
