Sergio Romo is returning to the Tampa Bay Rays on a one-year major league deal, according to multiple reports. The veteran right-handed reliever had a successful bounce-back season with the Rays after a disastrous start of 2017 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Romo, who was dealt in a minor trade after being designated for assignment in July, found new life with Tampa. In 25 appearances, he posted a 1.47 ERA, 0.85 WHIP with a 28/7 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 30 2/3 innings. He struggled mightily the first half of the season with the Dodgers, boasting a 6.12 ERA over 30 appearances.
