Roma are considering launching a summer move for Chelsea hitman Romelu Lukaku, reports Il Messaggero. Lukaku’s loan spell at Everton ends at the end of the season and he stated earlier this week that Chelsea will decide this summer whether he will be incorporated into Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans, sold or loaned out for the third season in a row. Everton’s hopes of securing his services for another year may be adversely affected by the fact they are unlikely to qualify for the Champions League, while reports earlier this month claimed Tottenham could look to prise him away from their London rivals in a £25m move. Now Roma, who will play in next season’s Champions League, are poised to ramp up their interest in the young Belgian.
