Jimmy Rollins and Carlos Ruiz are 2012 Rawlings Gold Glove award finalists at their respective positions. Rollins, a three-time Gold Glove winner, would have to beat out shortstops Zack Cozart, Ian Desmond and Jose Reyes to win the award for the first time since 2009. In 594 defensive chances, Rollins committed 13 errors, his most since 2003. But he saved the Phillies close to five runs on defense, according to Fangraphs. Ruiz faces stiff competition at catcher, with Yadier Molina and Miguel Montero. No major-leaguer has a longer current streak of Gold Gloves than Molina, who won in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
