What should be done for a repeat offender? Shortstop Jimmy Rollins was benched yet again during Thursday's 3-2 Phillies' win after failing to run out a routine infield pop up that Mets pitcher Jon Niese bobbled and eventually dropped. Rollins had barely made it to first base when hustling could have arguably had him at second. When asking Rollins for an explanation, manager Charlie Manuel said Rollins offered very little and didn't say hardly anything. This incident is disappointing on several levels. For one, Manuel had already held a closed-door meeting with Rollins when he failed to run out a ground ball in a game in Miami. That was just two weeks ago, on Aug. 15.
