Cole Hamels reverted to ace form Tuesday night against the Rockies. But the Phillies didn't need a starter. They needed a stopper, and Hamels embraced that role. The ace lefthander, who had struggled for the past month, helped the Phillies snap a three-game losing streak and rebound from an abysmal interleague road trip by tossing eight strong innings in the 7-2 victory at Citizens Bank Park.
