The next assignment for right-handed pitcher Jhoulys Chacin is the World Baseball Classic. The Rockies' No. 1 starter leaves spring training on a bit of a downer. He gave up three runs in 2 ⅓ innings Saturday against the A's. He walked two, hit a batter and gave up a towering three-run homer to Josh Reddick in the third inning. "I lost my focus a little bit," said Chacin, who could be in line to pitch for Venezuela on Thursday against the Dominican Republic. "That's what happens when you get behind in counts. You have to throw something in the middle. That's what happened."
