Charlie Blackmon dismantled the San Diego Padres this weekend, with the series finale proving to be historic in multiple ways.

On Sunday, the Colorado Rockies outfielder set the all-time record for hits in a four-game series after notching his 15th base knock of the set during the sixth inning, according to Matt Kelly of MLB.com.

Blackmon also had a shot to become the first player since Milt Stock in 1925 to record four straight four-hit games, but ultimately fell short with three hits in the finale.
