Carlos Gonzalez flew back to Venezuela on Saturday following the death of his grandfather, Eduardo Guerra. Gonzalez was placed on the bereavement list, leaving him eligible to rejoin the Rockies on Tuesday in New York. A player, however, can remain on the list for seven days. "I will always remember (him). RIP," Gonzalez tweeted. Charlie Blackmon, who was hitting .303 in Triple-A, replaced Gonzalez on the 25-man roster. If Blackmon plays during the next few days, it will be in the corner outfield spots, manager Jim Tracy said.
