The Colorado Rockies have agreed to a deal with free agent closer Wade Davis, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. At a reported three years and $52 million, the contract is the highest per-year salary ever for a relief pitcher. Davis has firmly established himself as one of MLB’s top relievers, earning all-star berths in each of the past three seasons. The 32-year-old was a member of the Chicago Cubs in 2017, pitching to a 2.30 ERA and registering 32 saves.
