Recent NBA champion Nick Young is enjoying his offseason despite remaining unsigned, but his continued free agency is not necessarily from a lack of interest. There are six teams interested in Young’s services, including the Houston Rockets, per Mark Berman of Fox 26 KRIV.
Young would be an interesting fit in Houston. He’s always been a solid outside shooter and he could fit well into their system. The Rockets utilize a lot of pick-and-roll action with James Harden and Chris Paul.
While Harden and Paul break down opposing defenses by driving through the lane, shooters find space on the perimeter to keep the defense stretched. Young could fit well into the role of spot up shooter for the Rockets, a team that shoots more three’s than any other in the NBA.
