Robinson Cano was headed for a Toronto hospital late Friday night after being hit by a pitch on the left hand in the sixth inning. Cano took the pitch from lefthander Brett Cecil off the top of his hand, above his ring finger. A test taken with a fluoroscope at the Rogers Centre was inconclusive, so the Yankees sent Cano out to have an X-ray. A Yankees spokesman said results would not be available until Saturday morning, but Joe Girardi seemed optimistic that his second baseman was not seriously injured. "He was able to stay in the game, so I think he's okay," Joe Girardi said. "We'll see how he is tomorrow."
