It was fitting that in the final road game of what has been a miserable season for the Marlins, two members from the most miserable Marlins team of them all — the '98 club that lost 108 — saw action at Miller Park on Sunday. Craig Counsell and Mark Kotsay, now with Milwaukee, didn't play pivotal roles in the Brewers' 9-5 blasting of the Marlins. But it's possible they might have stirred long-forgotten memories of that '98 team. When the Brewers won Sunday, they became the second team this season to sweep the season series with the Marlins, winning all seven of their encounters. The last-place Padres also went 7 for 7 against the Marlins. The only other time a National League opponent has done that to a Marlins team was in 1998.
