Attention Rick Nash fantasy hockey owners: you just missed out on some major penalty minutes tonight, but don't worry — there's probably a suspension heading Nash's way! Late in the third period of Thursday's game between the New York Rangers and the Florida Panthers, Florida's Tomas Kopecky had a great chance to score on Henrik Lundqvist. He was denied on the play, and then took an elbow from Rick Nash to the back of the head for his troubles. No penalty was called on the play, but since people out in the real world noticed it there's a good chance Nash gets a phone call from the league about this one. This is a suspension-worthy hit, for sure. Nash jumped to deliver this hit. He jumped so high, in fact, that he actually had to lower his arms in order to connect with Kopecky's head. If that's not a suspension, then what are we even doing here? Play continued, and Marian Gaborik scored for the Rangers shortly afterward. He got an assist from Rick Nash, who should have been in the penalty box at the time. It ultimately didn't matter though, as Florida held on for the 3-1 win.
