Seahawks HC Pete Carroll confirmed that CB Richard Sherman suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during the third quarter of Thursday night’s win over the Cardinals and is out for the season, per John Boyle. Sherman was seen during the telecast telling his teammates that he suffered a torn Achilles on the play, so this shouldn’t as a big surprise. Sherman showed up on the injury list this week with an Achilles injury and it certainly couldn’t have helped his situation by playing on just four days of rest. You can expect the Seahawks to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
