Robert Griffin III is so good that he can set records even while he is rehabbing from reconstructive knee surgery. According to the NFL, more of his No. 10 jerseys were sold in the past fiscal year than any jersey ever in a single year. The NFL releases only the top 10 rankings and no sales numbers were revealed. Griffin came into his rookie season as the Heisman Trophy winner and left it as the NFL Offensive Rookie of the year. His dynamic style of play, his winning personality, and his numerous endorsement deals undoubtedly help his become the best selling jersey of all time. Griffin’s popularity and the team’s run to its first NFC East title since 1999 boosted the Redskins as a team into fourth place in total team merchandise sales. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning finished second behind Griffin and it was announced that he had the third best single-year sales ever for a player jersey. Third was retiring Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis' jersey followed by Colin Kapernick and Brady. Lewis, Giants receiver Victor Cruz, and 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis were the only non-quarterback jerseys in the top 10. San Francisco was tops in team sales followed by the Ravens, Giants, Redskins, and Steelers.
