Robert Griffin III has gone a step further than venting on Twitter. Speaking with the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday, the former No. 2 draft pick proclaimed he could save the quarterback-deficient Texans, after rookie Deshaun Watson suffered a torn ACL in practice. “I’m in shape physically and mentally, and I’m ready to hit the ground Sunday if anybody needs me,” Griffin, 27, said. The current depth chart consists of Tom Savage, Josh Johnson and T.J. Yates, with the play being less than stellar since Watson’s Nov. 3 injury.
