Rex Ryan maintained that the Jets aren't going out of their way to get rid of Darrelle Revis. "I know for a fact that we're not actively trying to trade Darrelle Revis," Ryan said at the league meetings on Tuesday morning. "At the same time, if somebody calls, you're going to listen no matter who the player is ... whether it's Darrelle Revis, whether it's whoever ... Joe Montana." Owner Woody Johnson gave his strongest indication yet that the Jets could be open to trading the Pro Bowl cornerback if it improves the Jets, who are in a rebuilding phase. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear to be the most serious suitor for Revis, who is five months removed from ACL surgery. Ryan downplayed the idea that dealing Revis was a fait accompli. "This is speculation," Ryan said. "Everything we talk about it is speculation. It's almost like, 'Well, it's a foregone conclusion.' I don't believe that. With that, I'm not naïve enough to think ... obviously there are going to be several people that are interested in your good players, whether it's Revis or anybody else." "I haven't received a call from anybody," he added.
