Vontaze Burfict has returned to the Cincinnati Bengals on a roster exemption that can last until Thursday, and the Pro Bowl linebacker wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things at Paul Brown Stadium. George Iloka said Burfict was just getting out of the weight room when he arrived at about 8:30 a.m. and the linebacker was in a good mood in advance of a walkthrough inside the stadium. “It feels good,” Burfict said. “It feels good to be back here with my teammates and obviously putting out the game plan.” The National Football League granted the exemption, as it often does when teams ask for one, and it means Burfict was able to return to team activities without the team having to release a player off the 53-man roster.
