It is safe to say that Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll would like former Houston Texans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney back in the Pacific Northwest next season and beyond. With Clowney slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, it remains to be seen as to where exactly the All-Pro defender ultimately lands—whether it is in Seattle or elsewhere.

However, there may be a mutual interest in play here as Clowney, according to The News Tribune’s Gregg Bell, appeared to be pretty happy in Seattle this season, his first as a member of the Seahawks.

Carroll also indicated to reporters on Monday that re-signing Clowney would be a “top priority” in the offseason.
