Spanish club Real Sociedad have reportedly agreed to pay £15 million (19m Euros) to ensure that Arsenal will not be able to exercise their buy back clause and re-sign Carlos Vela this summer, report Sports Witness. The 25-year-old enjoyed a successful campaign at the Anoeta Stadium last season, forming a formidable partnership with Antoine Griezmann in La Liga, which has reportedly tempted Gunners chief Arsene Wenger to bring him back to the Emirates. Arsenal sold the Mexican forward in 2012 after he failed to secure a regular place in their first team, but inserted a buy back clause worth £3.5 million into his contract with Sociedad. As Vela is finally beginning to fulfil his potential and Wenger has a lack of options up front within his current squad a return to north London seemed highly likely.
