A “top National League executive” had the hottest of hot takes in a recent text message exchange with FRS Network’s Robert Murray in which the anonymous individual referred to Bryce Harper as a “losing player” and “simply overrated.”

The Washington Nationals superstar slugger of course will hit free agency at the conclusion of the 2018 MLB season and there will be no shortage of suitors willing to pay upwards of $400 million, if not more, to secure his services.

It would appear this anonymous NL exec does not think Harper is worth anywhere close to that kind of record-breaking money.

Murray writes in his report that after recently stating his opinion of Harper’s worth that he received a series of texts from said unnamed exec in which the arguably dubious assessment of the superstar was laid out.
