The Houston Rockets offseason promises to be truly wild and entertaining, but it’s never a bad thing to make some small and subtle moves as well.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Rockets added some big man depth as they claimed Deyonta Davis off free agency waivers from the Atlanta Hawks.

Davis, a three-year man from Michigan State, averaged four points and four rebounds in nine games with the Hawks in 2018-19. He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Memphis Grizzlies where he averaged 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 98 games including six starts. He hasn’t received many opportunities in his early career just yet.
