Byron Marshall is trading Philadelphia for D.C. According to Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post, the Washington Redskins are set to sign the Eagles running back off of their practice squad following the injury to Rob Kelley. With Kelley out, the Redskins currently have only two healthy running backs on the roster. An undrafted free agent out of Oregon, the Eagles activated Marshall for the final three games in 2016, finishing with 19 carries for 64 yards on the season. In Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens, Marshall showed some flashes against the NFL's top-ranked run defense, making All-Pro linebacker Terrell Suggs miss with his quick cuts and elusiveness to gain a few extra yards.
