When Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver flipped off the officials twice last week, you knew a punishment would be handed down, particularly since former Titans owner Bud Adams, Jets coach Rex Ryan and former Titans defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil all had been heavily fined in recent years for doing the same thing. Though Tarver apologized a day after the incidents, the Raiders still fined him $15,000 for his digital outbursts, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. The NFL reportedly said it was OK with whatever punishment the team levied on Tarver. “I apologize for my action on the sideline of [Sunday's] game,” Tarver said in a statement. “It was in the heat of the moment, and I regret drawing attention away from the Raiders players and what they accomplished.” In fact, the Raiders beat the Steelers that day.
