Less than three years after Pitt hired Pat Narduzzi to be its football coach, university officials are working on his second contract extension, Yahoo reported. This one is for seven years and includes pay raises for Narduzzi and an increase in the salary pool for others, Yahoo reported. Narduzzi was given a contract extension by former Pitt athletic director Scott Barnes after Pitt finished 8-5 in 2015, the coach's first season. That deal would take him through the 2021 season, but the new one — if finalized — would go through 2024.
