The freshman defensive lineman will reportedly be on the shelf to start the season. After a stellar high school career that ended with multiple major college offers and the recognition that comes with being one of the best prep players in Illinois, freshman defensive lineman Dylan Thompson was hoping to start his Ohio State career on the right foot. Sadly, it looks like he'll need to wait a little longer to do so. Patrick Maks at 11W is reporting that Thompson has a fractured kneecap, and will be out for at least the next 2-3 months. Per Maks, "Thompson sustained the injury last week during practice. Surgery was an option to repair the damage, but he ultimately opted against it".
