Former Spurs forward Fabricio Oberto hinted in a recent interview with veteran Argentine journalist Julian Mozo that he might have an opportunity to join their coaching staff to replace the departing Mike Budenholzer. Oberto, who played on the 2007 championship team before being traded in 2009, must first finalize his retirement after a brief stint with his original club, Atenas of Argentina. Oberto told Mozo that he turned down an offer to enter coaching last year. Now, he said, another team has offered him an opportunity “to start at the bottom” but declined to offer details.
