NC-Central has landed their replacement for Jeremy Ingram. Nimrod Hilliard IV, who averaged 14.1 points and 4.9 assists for Lamar as a junior last season, has reportedly committed to NCCU. He is expected to be eligible immediately because of the APR issues that the Cardinals are going through. When a team is banned from the NCAA tournament for the remainder of an athlete’s eligibility, he can transfer without sitting out for a year. It’s why Alex Oriakhi was eligible immediately after transferring from UConn to Missouri and Roscoe Smith had to sit out for a season after transferring from UConn to UNLV.
