The Los Angeles Lakers have conspicuously left their 15th and final roster spot unused. While there is a chance that they fall in love with a surprising player at training camp, it has been obvious for weeks that the Lakers have very specific plans for that slot. They want Andre Igudoala to get bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies and fill it, a fact confirmed by Dave McMenamin of ESPN on SportsCenter Tuesday.

The Grizzlies, to this point, have refused to consider a buyout for Iguodala. They want to trade him and acquire at least one first-round pick. They already acquired such a pick from the Golden State Warriors in agreeing to take on his salary, but they believe that Iguodala is valuable enough to contending teams to net another one.
