The New Orleans Pelicans have been arduously looking to move their No. 4 overall pick, which they received in exchange for prized talisman Anthony Davis, and the Atlanta Hawks may be a suitor.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks are in prime position to offer the best trade package for said pick, boasting the eighth and 10th overall selections in the draft, along with the cap space to soak up an unwanted contract:
“One team to watch today, pursuing that fourth pick, the Atlanta Hawks,” said Wojnarowski. “They’ve got the eighth pick, the 10th pick and the 17th pick in the first round. They’ve also got salary cap space to potentially absorb a bad contract from New Orleans, perhaps a Solomon Hill that would give the Pelicans some more cap space, get some money off the books there and then give them multiple picks in either today’s first round or maybe get a pick for the future.
