The Evening Standard have claimed that Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race to sign Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer – with the Toffees having an initial bid turned down.
Doucoure, 27, has been strongly linked with a Watford exit over the past couple of seasons – continuing to shine in a disappointing Watford side that were eventually relegated last term. The drop in division is likely to see his exit.
Watford are said to want a fee of £25million for Doucoure this summer, with Everton having a bid rejected for the ex-Rennes midfielder. They are expected to re-enter the market and make a second bid for Doucoure.
