Former NBA MVP Derrick Rose cleared waivers on Monday and is now free to sign with any NBA team. This comes after he was acquired by the Utah Jazz from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team trade last week. Most anticipate that Rose will eventually land with former head coach Tom Thibodeau in Minnesota, joining the likes of Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler with the Wolves. Though, that’s in no way etched in stone. Now comes this report from Marc Stein of The New York Times indicating that we can’t expect a resolution to this matter until after this weekend’s All-Star Break.
