The Redskins do not appear to be serious suitors to sign free agent right tackle Eric Winston. Winston was released Wednesday by the Kansas City Chiefs. As a player who was released, he can sign with another team at any time and does not need to wait until the opening of the unrestricted free agent market Tuesday at 4 p.m. He formerly played for Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in Houston. It is believed that the Redskins had interest in Winston last offseason when he was a free agent. The team needs a right tackle with its starter from last season, Tyler Polumbus, eligible for unrestricted free agency.
