Left-handed reliever Sean Marshall has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Tuesday, with a sprained left shoulder, the Reds announced Friday. As a corresponding move, lefty Manny Parra has been activated from his DL stint. This marks the second stint on the disabled list for Marshall. Both trips to the disabled list have been related to his throwing shoulder (left shoulder tendinitis was the reason given for his stint from April 10-25). When he's been healthy this season, Marshall has been his usual effective self. He has a 2.57 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and seven strikeouts in seven innings while stranding nine of the 11 runners he's inherited.
