Even the younger players aren’t immune from the injury bug that has plagued the Detroit Red Wings this season. Rookie forward Tomas Jurco is out a minimum of 10-to-14 days, general manager Ken Holland said. Jurco injured his ribs Tuesday on a cross-check from Columbus’ Blake Comeau during the second period of the Blue Jackets’ 4-1 victory at Nationwide Arena. The club is waiting for further test results. Jurco has five goals, five assists and a minus-4 rating in 26 games with the Red Wings. He’s provided speed, energy and offense on the Kid Line, with Riley Sheahan and Tomas Tatar. Comeau was not penalized or disciplined for that cross-check. However, he was suspended two games by the NHL on Wednesday for boarding Brendan Smith in the first period.
