Oh, the things that can happen by driving to the net: scoring, for example -- twice, for good measure. Red Wings coach Mike Babcock's go-to formula for any forward to be successful is to go to the net, but some players on the team hear it more than others. Johan Franzen gets reminders several times a season. He's such a big body -- 6-feet-3, over 220 pounds -- and he's got such a good shot that he can do considerable damage when he's driving the net. He scored two goals in such fashion in Tuesday's 5-2 victory over Colorado, tipping Valtteri Filppula's shot with the tip of the blade on one goal and then redirecting Niklas Kronwall's on the other. Franzen also added an empty-net goal in the last minute of the game. He has four goals and six points in his last two games.
