Another day, another injury for the Detroit Red Wings. A sore groin will force forward Gustav Nyquist to miss tonight’s game against the Anaheim Ducks at Joe Louis Arena (7:30, Fox Sports Detroit). These type of injuries usually linger for a week or more, but Nyquist doesn’t believe it’s that significant. He said he feels better since it happened Sunday against Tampa Bay. He didn’t need any tests and he said he is day-to-day. He said he was hurt during Sunday's 3-0 loss to Tampa Bay. "It actually got better since the game," Nyquist said. "After the game it kind of hurt but it's just one of those things you gotta be careful about so you don't hurt it even more. "It's day-to-day right now. I don't think it's going to be that bad but we'll see." He's never experienced a groin issue. "What I've seen and heard from guys is that you got to be careful with it," Nyquist said. Nyquist is the sixth forward the team is missing, joining Henrik Zetterberg (herniated disc), Johan Franzen (concussion), Justin Abdelkader (concussion), Darren Helm (shoulder) and Stephen Weiss (groin) on the sidelines.
