Dylan Larkin laughed as he said it, but he meant it: He doesn’t want to go to the 2020 NHL All-Star Game.

Tyler Bertuzzi was chosen by the NHL to represent the Detroit Red Wings at the Jan. 25 event. Fans have a chance to vote more players to the rosters via the “Last Men in” vote, but Larkin has a message about that.

“Please don’t vote,” he said Tuesday, the day after the initial rosters were announced. “I like the days off more.”

Each of the 31 NHL teams is represented on the Last Men In ballot. Each of four divisions will have one more player added to its roster via voting, which can be done on the NHL’s website Jan. 1-10.
