Real Madrid are reportedly willing to fork out £150million for Paul Pogba, with the player set to pocket Gareth Bale's £600,000-a-week wage.

United's wantaway midfielder has been a long-term target for Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane is hellbent on bringing him to the Bernabeu this summer.

The princely transfer fee the World Cup winner demands, however, will not price Real Madrid out of the race, according to Diario AS.

But one large obstacle is Bale's eye-watering income, with Real hesitant to pay both the Welshman and Pogba such exorbitant salaries.

Zidane, who has already recruited five players this summer, has made Pogba his No 1 target and the midfielder is understood to be the final piece of the puzzle.

Pogba is currently on United's pre-season tour but is thought to still be pursuing a move to the Spanish capital before the season begins.
