Real Madrid have not pursued signing Harry Kane because he would cost €250million (£223m), according to club president Florentino Perez. Kane and Tottenham team-mate Dele Alli are at the top of the European champions' shopping list, according to multiple reports in the Spanish media outlets that are closely allied with Real. Boss Zinedine Zidane has also described Kane as 'the complete player', but Perez insisted that, while he admires the Spurs striker, he is out of Real's reach. Perez also gave his backing to current No 9 Karim Benzema, who was recently branded 'overrated' by former Barcelona and England striker Gary Lineker. Zidane and many of his team-mates have subsequently leapt to Benzema's defence. 'Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head,' Perez told Spanish radio station Cadena COPE. 'He is a great player and in addition he is young.
