The San Antonio Spurs have been forced to play the vast majority of the 2017-18 campaign without the services of two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard and, as you would imagine, it has made a major impact on the team. With Leonard having only appeared in nine games for the Silver and Black at this point in the season, there have been plenty of questions concerning not only when he will be able to return to the floor but also how long it will take for him to get back to being the type of dominant player that fans have grown accustomed to seeing over the years. While he couldn't provide fans with any insight on the latter of those two topics, Spurs GM R.C. Buford provided Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News with the latest on when Kawhi could potentially return in a way that would have made Gregg Popovich proud.
