Rashard Higgins had other suitors, but he didn't want to leave the Browns.
"I knew where I wanted to be," Higgins said Friday on Zoom. "It was obviously a lot of teams hitting on me, and I had decisions, but why not be a Cleveland Brown? I feel like all the pieces to the puzzle are in place."
The popular wide receiver whose nickname is "Hollywood" reached an agreement March 17 to re-sign with the Browns on a one-year, $2.38 million contract.
Asked if he turned down more money from other franchises to return to the Browns, Higgins said, "Yeah, I definitely had other offers on the table, but this was one that was a no-brainer."
Higgins consulted quarterback Baker Mayfield about his future for the second consecutive offseason. Higgins also signed a one-year deal with the Browns in 2020.
